The Orlando Museum of Art
. The
Orlando Museum of Art is considered one of the best art museums in the
South.
Founded
in 1924, the museum presents outstanding national and international art
exhibitions, and a permanent collection which includes 19th and 20th centure
American, Pre-Columbian and African art.
The educational programs offered by the museum opens new doors for more

The
Florida Young Artists Orchestra
. This
Orchestra was established in 1997 by a group of teachers, music
professionals, community leaders and parents as a non-profit organization
committed to providing an enriching experience for young artists in the
area. It is made up of four orchestras:

Young Artists Symphony
The Young Artists Philharmonic
The Young Artists Chamber Symphony
The Young Artists Sinfonia
It comprises of member 6 to 22 years of age who are admitted through a
competitive audition During the school year, they rehearse each weekend
at the UCF campus in Orlando.
Orlando Science Center
The
holder of the largest domed theatre and Digistar planetarium in the world,
the Science Center also has 7000 sq ft of exhibition space for national
and international traveling exhibits, four levels of hands-on exhibits,
a unique science store, a 250 seat Darden Adventure Theatre and lots more.

Maitland Art Center
What's
outside these buildings is as interesting as what's inside. The architecture
of the center, designed and built in 1930 by avant-garde artiste Andre
Smith, is a combination of Aztec Mayan motif and concrete relief carvings,
one of the few remaining examples of fantasy architecture in the southeastern
United States. The building is listed on the National Register of Historic
Places.
The center exhibits contemporary fine arts, including photography, painting,
and sculpture; serves as a cultural center; and has two artists in residence.
Fine arts classes are taught by 25 instructors.
